Inquisitive kids

2 flags got them quite occupied for quite a while. Funny how small things like these can engage them huh!

Pretty Melody in Mama's hairband. She's becoming quite mature, learning how to verbalise her feelings when didi hits her (which is quite often), I taught her to say "弟弟打太大力了" cos sometimes he just want to "call" her and not hit her on purpose. One night we were talking and tossing in bed, and didi was crying next door so I went over to carry him into the room. She continued with her make-believe game for a while, then said, "妈妈我很伤心，因为我很要你" cos she no longer has my full attention. So proud of her to be able to verbalise her emotions yet so heartbreaking at the same time :")

Didi feeds himself

Starting to be able to put the spoon/fork into his mouth accurately! Apparently in other countries children are expected to learn to feed themselves by age 1 already...we so pamper them here... :P:P

Didi can look for things that are out of sight...and solve his own problem by moving away things that are blocking his way or looking for adults to help :)

Recognisable drawing!

Xuan went to a dinner with Mama and drew some amazing pictures while Mama chatted (and took pictures when the drawing is shown to me. I don't really concentrate on my girlie gatherings anymore cos of the kid I bring along. Kinda sad but then I would have missed this moment!)

Poor Xuan hit her ankle bone

Sat on the wheel chair somemore! So 夸张right...but we thought that the service at Mount Alvernia was really good, and the price is not as high as we expected too, comparable to going to the paediatrician. She didn't sprain her ankle like we thought she did, just hit her bone quite badly probably on the bed frame. Couldn't really walk but the bandage gave her quite a psychological barrier in trying to walk too, though it was quite a novelty at first. She "miraculously" recovered once we removed the bandage another day later! :):)

Johor trip!

Mama So brought didi on a one-day Johor trip with her gal pals. Didi pointed to himself when the custom officer said, "Colin So?" :) At the shopping centre, he saw a flag at the tibits stall, picked it up, and happily went around waving it. Mama So had no choice but to pay up...It was a tiring day for Mama So, but it's good that he is starting to go out more often. Xuan got a lot more exposure when she was young than he does...He is more sociable but definitely can't sit still...

Didi goes shopping~

A giant maze to him. Thinks we are playing catching with him! He's getting very fast and kinda hard to catch! Sorta running already!

Bum!

Didi is combining 3 phonemes together (b-u-m)! :):) Other words that he is saying: gah(star), gah (car), mama, yueyue (月亮), bum (Mr Bump!), baw (ball). Funny how he is picking all the difficult words to say, haha, cos xuan said all the "b" words first. Girls do speak earlier but didi is progressing at an acceptable rate :)

Keeping the toys

I know it takes him like 10years to keep everything and he actually went off halfway, but still a very good habit in the making~ it's quite hard not to jump in and "might as well I do it" but it's part of his learning! :) He is starting to help throw rubbish too :):) zeh zeh is getting lazy though I'm very sure we went through this phase before...

Mama So bought some card games that xuan can't really play according to the rules yet, but can definitely play in other ways! :):)

Didi's favourite. He has his daddy to coach him goalkeeping, and his uncles to coach him basketball and volleyball when he grows up. Though I'd prefer volleyball cos less contact and less muddy clothes... :P:P

Didi got a new set of clothes today at BHG, Bugis cos zehzeh decided that she wants to watch 葫芦娃at grandma's house at last minute and doesn't want to go to a wedding dinner with us. Mama So doesn't have any brothers so dressing up a boy is quite new to me...and fun too! :D:D Didi sooooo handsome!! :P:P
