Tang yuan

Mama So's ex-students came over for CNY visit, and I made use of the opportunity to let her have a try at making tang yuan!

It's good for enhancing fine motor skills :)

And didi's looking good and sporty for New Year! :) My little sportsman~

Chopsticks

Inspired by a friend whose kid is eating with a pair of training chopsticks, I bought a pair of Combi chopsticks just to train her wrist muscles and fine motor skills. The way that the chopsticks is held is like holding a pair of tongs so I don't think it'd help much but it's fun for her and it's a start anyway. And her fingers are too short to hold it the proper way so...I'd just try to correct her before she gets too used to the wrong way.

First day of school after the long CNY break, xuan came home all grouchy and gloomy. She said, “我很想弟弟”She actually misses her brother! :D

A HUGE milestone!

Mama loves this little froggie! It's bought for me more than it's for her :P She will go "I like you froggie" *hugz* "I like you Melody rabbit" *hugz* "I like you Poor bear" *hugz* And I will always reply "I like you Melody" to each of the toy :):):)

Marina Barrage!

Mama So and ex-colleagues went to Marina Barrage to fly kite! "Zeh zeh" here bought Miracle Bubbles (which is really good solution) from Toy 'R' Us and blew continuously for 3min but Little Mr Cool Guy here just kept staring and had no reaction...

then finally had a little bit of reaction...

"Yueyue!" (Anything round is a "bawbaw" and anything thats remotely cresent in shape is the moon)

Zehzeh and Papa So joined us at 7pm and finally, someone gets excited about bubbles!

Thanks guys for the lovely experience. Truly therapeutic!

Didi speaks

This photo is unrelated but I just love the funny poses that he keep coming up with. And the short arms :D He's not going to stay as a baby for long... I'm going to miss all these :)

Who says city kids can't have a "jungle" experience? :P

Brushing teeth

Didi has 3 bottom teeth, 4th one emerging, plus 1 premolar, and 4 upper teeth plus 2 premolars. But we only brush his teeth twice a week, on sat and sun :P and when he does he is chewing the tooth brush more than he is brushing. Xuan has been rinsing her mouth every morning but she too, only brushes her teeth on weekends :P:P How to prevent tooth decay? Make them drink plain water after they eat anything and everything.. hopefully that works...

Watering!

Mama bought a pot of flowers for CNY! Happy Chinese New Year~ Both kids are always eager to help me water the plant (and the unsuccessful seed growing in the smaller pot)~
